For those of you still on Iphoto 6 and want to get down and dirty with your terminal. Here’s something you can do to delete your original pictures from your Iphoto 6 library. I found this at Mac OSX hints.
Here are the terminal commands
$ mkdir ~/.Trash/iPhoto-Originals $ cd ~/"Pictures/iPhoto Library/Modified/" $ find . -type f -exec mv "../Originals/{}"~/.Trash/iPhoto-Originals/ \;'
A folder called iPhoto-Originals is created in the trash, and moves all of the originals to the trash. Ignore the errors you may see show up in Terminal; they relate to photos in the modified folder (such as movie thumbnails) which don’t have corresponding originals.
